vegas..yet again

My fam decided to do a little get away to Las Vegas. My uncle has an amazing home in vegas he rarely lives in and uses for business, so we were lucky enough to stay in there for a few nights. The first night we bought steaks, sat in the hot tub, played yatzee and watched movies. Then it was off to vegas.

We missed scott cassie and asher though. Cassie's baby is due any day now and we're so excited! and mallory was just a bum and couldn't get off work.

So we splurged and decided to go the the spice market buffet in the planet hollywood hotel. it was so good! my mom said she was going to win us some money in the slot machines for dinner but the five bucks didn't go very long. maybe one day...soon..i'll be old enough to gamble.

because we were going to be in las vegas with my parents and siblings on valentines day, we decided to do our's on wed. Caden bought me some flowers , amazing chocolates and we got pizza delivered. i love him!

update

well the decision was made. Caden's dad Carl bought 2009 Mustang GT. He absolutely loves it! Caden is pretty jealous. We went to go visit him this weekend before we went to vegas and i woke up to caden getting back in bed around 8 a.m. He was frezzing and confessed he was out in the garage that morning awing over that car.

welcome to our humble home. (love the concrete walls??) so i decided after a year of living here i wanted to put up those curtains over the wall. it is not a window but it sure makes the concrete blocks less noticeable. my sweet husband drilled into concrete for me. a mission.... accomplished. i absolutely love ikea. i got our curtains, those pillows, our kitchen table and chairs, our bed frame and miscellaneous things around the house. i absolutely LOVE it here! it's our home... caden's and mine...

our carpet is wrinkly because the apartment actually comes with fuzzy maroon cement. just this awful flat carpet. our good friends mike and melissa gave us some left over carpet from carpeting there own place. it made a huge difference! now our butts don't go numb when we sit on the floor.

ok....yes...i'm a person who decorates their fridge ok! i got the idea from the movie "p.s. i love you". it's just a strip of magnet with adhesive on the other side that i put ribbon on. it's fun!

our wonderful bedroom! on the other side of me we have a little dresser and our computer desk, with just enough space to walk.

where's the counter space??? (ya, that's what i thought) caden's patience with me in the morning with my hair and makeup stuff everywhere! you can tell i had to clean..it's was a saturday

cars, cars, cars

It was Carl (my father in law's) birthday last Friday! Happy Birthday! He came up from Salina to visit us and of course we couldn't miss the car show at the expo center. I debated for a very long time whether i wanted to go or not with them. You have to understand, Caden and his dad are SO into cars it's unbelievable!! Since we have been married ( 1 1/2 yrs) Caden and I have owned 7 cars. (don't believe me. the chrysler, the mustang, the trail blazer,the mazda, the mini, the avalon, and the subaru.) It's a fun hobby for the both of them. Well, I went! and it was pretty fun until we hit the 3rd hour :)
Well Carl has two trucks that he loves, but is thinking of trading one of them in for a smaller car. He's been thinking about getting a chevy malibu but once his eyes fell on this dodge challenger he started really liking this car. Caden would say," Come on dad! You don't need a family car like a malibu. You've always wanted a muscle car. This is so cool!!" We'll have to wait and see what dad does now....

I don't know what it is. I've always loved little cars. I'm having withdrawls from my mini this smart car is looking pretty fun

S O M E D A Y...

the holidays were great!

funny story: when caden and i had been dating for only 3 months, we went to temple square together. he told me he wanted to take my picture with the temple and lights in the background. well all he had was his little phone but couldn't get the temple with me in it with the little lens. so...he knelt down on one knee to get a good picture of the temple above me. well you could only imagine how this looked. here i was just smilin away and he is down on one knee with a phone open (that might look like a ring box). everyone around us gasped and started forming a circle. caden quickly realized as he jumped from his knee telling the old women, "oh, no no no" we get to laugh about it every time we go.

lately....

lately i haven't had time to update my blog because every time i got on the computer i was working on putting together a slideshow for for family for christmas. we have a whole bunch of loose pictures at my house of our childhood so it took me forever to scan all of them in, but it was worth it. i'm glad i have some of these pictures now saved to my computer. i did the slideshow chronologically. i started it with my parents engagement then to cass and so forth. anyway, i showed it to my family last night and it was a lot of fun! these are just a few of my favorites....Merry Christmas!!!

so twilight was SO good! if you've read the books, you'll love the movie. i was obsessed with the cullens. i just wanted to keep watching them the whole time. ya, i'll admit it's chessy, but i love it! Right before i went to the movie my work took us all and our spouses the the olive garden, but i had to leave early for the movie. on my way out to waitor made fun of me for going to the midnight showing. he said " Why are so many women obsessed when it's for fourteen year olds!"

happy birthday sweetie!

Caden's birthday was on Nov. 12th. He is now officially 24! we decided to take a full week off of work and school. it was very well needed. On his birthday i woke him up with breakfast in bed and then we were off to visit his dad in Salina. We went out to dinner, watched a movie and had cheesecake. Then on Thursday we drove to Las Vegas! Caden went on priceline and got us this AWESOME deal on a hotel right on the strip. We stayed at the planet hollywood hotel for only 50 bucks! the room was so cool and we had a view of the bellagio show right out side our room!
The M&M factory and coke factory are my favorite on the strip. At the coke factory we tried coke from 16 different countries. It was alot of fun! the clear one.....tastes like hairspray. We then spent the rest of the week in St. George at my grandparents trailor enjoying shopping, eating out and sleeping! Happy Birthday Sweetie!

.i love my husband.

 Caden was so sweet when we were dating. Because he lived in the apartment right up stairs from me (not to mention the room right up above mine and his bed was directly above mine!) we spent alot of time together. Some mornings before he went to class, he would run downstairs walk in our apt and come to my room and wake me up with a "good morning beautiful". when i would go to orchestra in my locker would always be a cute note that would make me smile and he always said he would take specific routes from class to class just to see me because he knew i would be walking down certain streets. i'm a lucky girl because those things continue to happen. In the mornings before i go to work he'll wake up, see me and the first thing he says is, " you look nice!" every morning!! 

In the middle of the day he will send me a text that tells me how much he loves me, can't live without me, and to especially be safe. he always does the dishes, willingly passes out flyers for relief society or fills in in the nursery. he lets me share his drink (even though i know he wished i wouldn't) and lets me put my freezing feet on his stomach to warm them up. he is the greatest thing in my life. i love you sweetie!

excited about it! we went to a fun party halloween night were we ate donuts on a string, made carmel apples, played mafia and watched scary movies.

our trip to new jersey...

we recently went back to cadens mission in new jersey. we ate some seriously good pizza, saw an awesome lighthouse, met up with some old friends, went to the shore (not the beach...the shore) and had a good time. we first thought the trip was going to be awful because my suitcase got lost on the flight, yes mine, and then the hotel didn't know we were coming, not to mention is was clear out in the middle of no where, and then after an hour of us sitting in the lobby waiting for a room, we settle in and our toilet is broken. but all in all the trip was worth it. i got to her mission stories, went the mission home and saw EVERY apartment caden ever lived in those two years. it was great!

it's a little place called Toscanas in Audubon, New Jersey. there were these italian people there who still owned it and caden recognized them right when we walked in. " Hey, it's Sunny and Stella right?" They kind of gave him a weird look and pretended to know this sweet missionary from so long ago. Hey we won't complain. we got some free garlic knots out of it

while we were visiting new jersey,  good friend's of caden's, bob & kathy , took us around new york city. he was hurrying so fast around the city, but he made sure we saw all the good stuff. he took us to ground zero, to china town, time square, central park, and even up to a skyscraper called top of the rock so we could see the whole city. i love new york!
